Mapna is an Iranian business enterprise that specializes in the development and construction of thermal power plants. Additionally, it is active in conducting oil, gas and rail projects as a turnkey contractor (EPC) and private investment (IPP). Since its inauguration in 1992, the Mapna Group has implemented nearly 100 projects being approximately worth more than 30 billion Euros. In addition, it offers 60 different products and 85 types of services to its customers.
The formation of the Mapna Group goes back to the establishment of “Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company,” abbreviated as “Mapna” in Persian, on August 12, 1993 by the Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Prior to the establishment of Mapna Company, the administration of all thermal power plant projects in Iran was conducted by foreign companies. At the beginning, the main objective of establishing this company was to turn it into a general turnkey contractor for power plant projects.
