Members of the Strategic Council of the Fifth National Conference on Value Engineering discussed how to organize and support this event in a meeting with the Mapna Group’s CEO and managers. In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Mr. Aliabadi, Mr. Bani Hashemi, Mr. Behbehani, Mr. Mirhadi and Mr. Zarabadipour from the Mapna Group and directors of the Strategic Council of this conference, Chairman of the Board of Iran’s National Association of Value Engineering expressed his satisfaction with the Mapna Group’s level of value engineering maturity level and stated: “We always give the Mapna Group as an example for the implementation of value engineering projects in all organizations. The Mapna Group can certainly internalize the culture of value engineering in Iranian industries”. He emphasized the role of this conference in improving the process of value engineering in the country and added, “we are not here to participate in a simple gathering”.
Mr. Jalalzadeh addressed the two features of the Mapna Group and the Management of the Group and asserted, “The Mapna Group is one of the most advanced and up to date institutions active in various industries and also in the area of value engineering. Besides, the distinctive academic character of Dr. Aliabadi is quite evident in the scientific community of our industry”. In addition to these statements, Mr. Jalalzadeh proposed for taking up the presidency of the Fifth National Conference on Value Engineering, which was accepted by Dr. Aliabadi.
Afterward, the CEO of the Mapna Group underscored the importance of value engineering in the country and the need to pay special attention to increasing productivity, and noted, “Although Mapna has done better than so many other business enterprises, there is still the need to pay attention to improvable points in assessments.” He added, “For example, after several years of effort in the NIAM project as the prototype project in Maona power plants, there are still improvable points that need to be taken care of, including project site and dimensions, location, construction and so on. I can say with certainty that no enterprise in the country has addressed the subject of value engineering as much as the Mapna Group has. We believe that the way to improvement is always open and we should not settle with any certain level of quality.” While accepting the Presidency of the fifth national conference on value engineering, the CEO of the Mapna Group expressed his pleasure for accompanying the organizers of this event. He continued, “It is necessary to hold a targeted and effective conference besides publishing articles in prestigious scientific journals”.
It is worth noting that, at this meeting, Dr. Aliabadi was appointed as head of the Fifth National Conference on Value Engineering and Mr. Mirhadi was appointed as member of the Strategic Council and the Executive Committee. Also, it was decided that two instances of the experiences and achievements of the Mapna Group in value engineering projects be presented during the conference in the form of thematic panels.
